LCADCs hold a master’s degree in counseling, addictions or counseling-related area. LCADCs are licensed by the NJ Department of Law and Public Safety, Division of Consumer Affairs, and the State Board of Marriage and Family Therapy Examiners’ Alcohol and Drug Counselor Committee to conduct an independent practice of alcohol and drug counseling.
